Director of Operations

CAM-PLEX is currently looking to fill the position of Director of Operations. The position directs, administers, organizes, supervises, plans, and coordinates the activities of the operations department of an event facility. Coordinates assigned activities and events with outside agencies and the general public. Provides assistance to and assumes the responsibilities of the Executive Director in his/her absence.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervises the work of assigned personnel, including assigning and reviewing work, providing guidance, and conducting performance evaluations.
  • Plans, coordinates, and evaluates the organization, staffing, and operational activities for the Operations division of CAM-PLEX.
  • Coordinates event set-ups with department staff. Provides guidance and solutions for any problems that arise.
  • Develops and maintains a maintenance program for CAM-PLEX facilities, vehicles, and equipment to ensure they are properly repaired and maintained. Maintains appropriate records and prepares reports as directed.
  • Identifies opportunities to improve operations and service methods and procedures. Assists in the implementation of goals, objectives, policies, and procedures for assigned areas.
  • Attends and participates in City/County meetings and Land Board meetings. Represents CAM-PLEX as directed.
  • Develops, administers, monitors, and coordinates department budget. Forecasts funding needs for staffing, materials, and supplies and capital equipment and facility maintenance. Monitors and approves expenditures. Makes recommendations as necessary.
  • Maintains the vehicle and equipment use plan and complete inventory of equipment. Manages an inventory control system.
  • Coordinates and promotes services, activities, and events with other CAM-PLEX departments, outside agencies, and the general public to ensure successful programming.
  • Collaborates with the Executive Director to plan and conduct regular improvements and major construction projects. Communicates regularly with the Executive Director to keep him/her informed of department and personnel activities.
  • Prepares specifications and contract documents for facility repair and construction activities and capital expenditures. Reviews construction and repair projects as needed.
  • Performs related work as required.


Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Business or a related field
  • Five (5) to Seven (7) years of experience in event management
  • Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities
Required Licenses or Certifications:
  • Class C driver's license

This is a full-time benefitted position. $73,133.80 - $92,903.20/year DOE + Excellent Benefits

Rodeo/Equine Event Technician - Full Time

CAM-PLEX is currently looking a full-time Event Technician. The qualified candidates will perform a variety of event setup, teardown, and maintenance of agricultural buildings including indoor and outdoor arenas, and other buildings as assigned. Provide other assistance as required by individual event and/or user; work varied hours to include nights, weekends and holidays. Three to four years of related experience in event setup including the operation of job related equipment and ability to obtain Class B CDL with Tanker Endorsement.


EXAMPLES OF IMPORTANT AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES
1 Operate equipment and machinery in a safe and efficient manner as required by facility needs. Perform daily maintenance including oil levels, air and fuel filters, grease fittings and tire pressure checks.
2. Maintain dirt arenas for all events as required.
3. Assist with setup and tear down of CAM-PLEX events in East Pavilion including rodeos, cuttings, livestock sales, roping competitions, and the county fair.
4. Clean and maintain stables, make repairs as needed.
5. Assist with snow removal which may include plowing, hand shoveling and dispersing ice melting compounds as needed.
6. Setup and teardown of various types of stalls, holding pens, bucking chutes, roping chutes, crows nest's, bleachers, animal cages and pens.

Full Time - $20.58/hr plus excellent benefits: Health, Dental, Life and Vision insurance & Wyoming Retirement Pension. Paid time off for vacation, sick and holiday.

Full Time Event Custodian

CAM-PLEX is currently looking for individuals for the position of Event Custodian. The qualified candidate will perform a full range of custodial duties as they relate to the care, maintenance, and cleaning of assigned buildings and facilities; perform event set-up and tear down; provide other assistance as required by an individual event and/or user. Work varied hours to include nights, evenings, weekends and holidays. One to two years of related experience in custodial work experience including the operation of job-related equipment. Valid driver's license required.

$16.97/HR plus excellent benefits Health, Dental, Life and Vision insurance & Wyoming Retirement Pension. Paid time off for vacation, sick and holiday.

Maintenance Technician, Senior

CAM-PLEX is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician to perform a variety of journey level and semi-skilled maintenance and repair work of assigned CAM-PLEX Facilities; provide a variety of journey level and semi-skilled maintenance and repair which may include interior, exterior and equipment repairs. Troubleshoot operating problems for HVAC, electrical, plumbing and fire suppression systems in the County facilities, provide recommendations for long-term solutions, and perform preventative maintenance as needed. Assist in the installation, repair and maintenance of varied building components including computer and communication cabling, electrical wiring, light fixtures and related equipment. Available for snow removal in the early mornings, on call or emergency services as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma, or equivalent, specialized or on the job training along with 3-4 years of experience in building maintenance, construction, planning, electrical or HVAC. Knowledge of practices, methods, equipment, tools and materials used for general maintenance of commercial public facilities is desired. Candidate must possess a valid Wyoming Driver’s License.

Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities

$24.91-$31.65/hr DOE plus excellent benefits. Health, Dental, Life and Vision insurance & Wyoming Retirement Pension. Paid time off for vacation, sick and holiday.

Performing Arts Volunteer

Performing Arts Ambassador

Ambassadors are volunteers who help staff events in the Heritage Center Theater. Ambassadors perform duties such as:
  • Greet the public
  • Assist patrons to their seats
  • Take tickets
  • Hand out programs
  • Crowd control
  • Assist handicapped patrons
  • Help in the gallery
  • Sell concessions and/or merchandise
The requirements to become an ambassador are:
  • At least be Junior High School age or older
  • Be able to work with the public
  • Show an interest in performing arts events
