The CAM-PLEX Master Plan in Gillette, Wyoming, encompasses the ambitious construction of a state-of-the-art dual arena event facility, complemented by adjoining warm-up rings and barns, and the renovation of existing stall and RV hook-ups to support large regional and national events. This comprehensive plan aims to address the growing demand for versatile event spaces and modern amenities in the region, catering to a diverse array of activities such as equestrian events, livestock shows, concerts, trade shows, sporting events and more.
The design of the dual arena event complex is crafted to meet the needs of both participants and spectators alike. Each arena is strategically designed to optimize space utilization and functionality, allowing for simultaneous events or seamless transition between different activities.
Central to this transformative blueprint is the visionary 5,000-seat main event arena, poised to host spectacular performances from concerts and rodeos to sporting events and expos. Standing alongside is its counterpart, a 2,200-seat covered dirt-floor arena is designed to support livestock & equine events year round.
Adjacent to the arenas are two expansive 200' x 300' pavilions, offering flexible space for stalling, livestock events, or additional flat floor space. With space for an additional 640 stalls, CAM-PLEX’s total stall capacity would increase to 2,000. Moreover, these pavilions connect to the event arenas through dual covered warm-up arenas, providing participants with a safe environment to prepare and practice before their main events, and create a holding/staging area for livestock during shows.
As part of the CAM-PLEX Master Plan's commitment to enhancing the overall visitor experience, existing outdoor stall and RV hookups will undergo renovations to meet industry-standard quality. A key feature of this redesign will be the consolidation of RV hookups into a centralized island layout, creating a versatile campground that will serve both camping and event parking needs.
