UPDATE 6/30/2026 - Special Meeting Update: Fire Restrictions & Fireworks
The Campbell County Board of Commissioners met for a Special Meeting on June 25, 2026. A motion to allow fireworks under an exception to the current fire restrictions failed to pass.
Consequently, the Stage 1 Fire Restriction Order implemented on March 19, 2026, remains fully in effect with no exceptions. This means all public fireworks restrictions stand (as outlined in the Campbell County Fire Department post shared here), and the Independence Day Show at the CAM-PLEX has been postponed.
Should conditions improve and fire restrictions be lifted later this year, the event will be rescheduled as part of our America 250 celebration.
